I love my highlight palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills, I use the shade Butterscoth from the Sugar Glow Kit everyday and it is the best highlight I have ever used, I always get compliments when I wear it (it has taken over Becca Champagne Pop). The formula is amazing so when I saw that ABH released loose highlighters I was intrigued to see if I would like them just as much! I have only used one loose highlight before and that was from Makeup Revolution and I liked it. However, I feel that there isn’t much difference between loose powders and normal powder in terms of highlight. So is the ABH loose highlighters worth purchasing?

First of all, can we talk about the packaging? I have never had a product that looks this glam! The product comes in a small rose gold container with the ABH logo and rose gold glitter effect screw top lid. The product is secured tight, I have no worries with this in my makeup bag. The container is light and has 6g of highlight inside.

Natural light- So Hollywood
With flash- So Hollywood

I chose So Hollywood as it looked like the one that would suit me the most, plus I love the name! There are 2 other shades. Snowflake which is a silvery shade and Sunset Aura which is a darker bronzey shade with pink tones. If you have pale skin and are wondering if this product would be too dark- yes it would. It is even slightly too dark for me and I wear darker foundations to match my fake tan. I think I will prefer to use this for evening wear rather than daytime. I wouldn’t purchase the light shade as I do not like silver highlight.

Application: I apply the ABH loose highlighter with the Zoeva 105 highlight brush. I pour out a little bit of product onto the lid and swirl with my brush and it picks up enough for a blinding highlight but I obviously always apply more haha and it layers well. You don’t need much of this product so I feel that it will last me a long time. The highlight itself is very smooth and fine. It goes on like a dream and is easy to blend.

Lasting power: The ABH loose highlighter has great lasting power. The longest I have worn this highlighter for is 9-10 hours and it holds up well. Not all highlighters last all day so I would have been pretty disappointed if this one didn’t seeing as I love the ABH highlight palettes. The highlight looks the same in the evening as it did in the morning.

Price: The ABH loose highlighters cost £25 which is the same price as most high end highlighters. I feel that if this is not in your price range you could try the Makeup Revolution loose highlighter.

Would I recommend: I recommend the product as it is a good highlighter. I just do not think there are shades for everyone so hopefully they bring out more shades!

The packaging of this product is so pretty. Plus, I love the name of the product too. I hope they bring out more shades so I can pick one up for my very pale skin..

I personally wouldn’t pay £25 for a highlighter. I’d rather put that £25 towards a foundation or brow product. The packaging of this is what got me though, it’s gorgeous!! Also, I’d probably go for the more silvery highlight instead of gold. It would be waaay too dark xx
