Everyday Summer Makeup Products

For those who want to change up their makeup products for summer but still want their makeup to last all day then hopefully this post can help. I am all for glory dewy skin however, I like my makeup to last as I hate always touching up when I am out or at work. I always have to set my face so there is no transfer. I have some products here that have summer vibes and can keep your makeup on all day. These work for me and I have dry/combination skin. I am so glad the weather here is getting warmer so I can change out my collection and make summer makeup looks.

I love the L’Oreal True Match foundation and this foundation comes in good shades to match fake tan for summer. I use the shade 4W golden natural. For those who don’t want a proper full coverage foundation but like a medium to full coverage that leaves a satin finish then this is perfect. I love the finish as I don’t like an overly matte foundation but I also don’t like a really dewy foundation, so the formula is a great in between. When set with my favourite powder MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus the foundation lasts all day with just a touch up on the t-zone after 5-6 hours. I have the shade NC30 which goes perfectly with the foundation. It is important to have a good powder in summer due to being sweaty and getting oily quicker and this powder lasts such a long time.

For summer makeup to feel comfortable on the skin it needs to be weightless otherwise it can feel too heavy, cakey and that is not what we want in warm weather. The Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion concealer is perfect for summer as it is natural, you cannot feel it on the skin and lasts a long time too! The Urban Decay Naked Heat eyeshadow palette has all the shades you need for a summer look. They are warm tones and the name and colour of the packaging just gives off summer vibes. UD shadows last a long time on me and they stay pigmented all day. The palette can also be used to transform your look from day to night with the dark purple/red shades to give a smokey look.

Bronzer and highlight is what really makes the look become summery, so having good products is going to help. The best bronzer I have used is the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. They have recently changed up the packaging, but I think I may be the only one who prefers the packaging in the photo above. The shade isn’t too orange or too ashy, it is the perfect shade of bronze. It blends out really well so it looks great on the skin. I love so many drugstore highlighters but I always go back to the MaryLou Manizer by The Balm. It leaves a gorgeous beaming highlight without looking too glittery. It blends well and is buttery. I love the champagne shade as it suits my skin tone but they have other shades.

The L’Oreal Million lashes mascara adds a lot of thickness and volume and makes your lashes look black, but also lasts as it is waterproof. A good waterproof mascara is a must have for summer makeup. I love the mascara as it makes my lashes look good but it can get clumpy if you are not careful in the application. I love how it doesn’t flake off and leave black marks under your eyes. You cannot go wrong with your brows in summer and I have mentioned the Benefit Goof Proof pencil many times on my blog, but it doesn’t fade or rub off. Benefit also have an eyebrow gel that sets the brows in place so they do not budge!

There are so many options for summer lipsticks but I chose to feature the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Very Victoria. The lipstick is easy to apply, and it has a satin finish therefore it feels moisturising and looks pretty. The shade is a pretty pink nude colour and it’s one of my favourite lipsticks. I am not about dry matte lips anymore especially getting into the warmer months I’d love to know what products you use for your summer makeup Thanks for reading!

Amazing read as usual Louise! x I have the Naked Heat and it really is an everyday affair for me too – you can’t beat those reds! I use the Mary-Lou Manizer in the inner corner (too light for my skin haha) and it really does make the whole look pop! I’ve heard way too much about the L’oreal mascara but still haven’t tried it – it’s going to have to go on my shopping list! x

Mary-Lou Manizer is one of my favourite highlighters for the warmer months. I recently treated myself to Cindy-Lou Manizer but haven’t tried it yet, I hope it’s just as pretty! x
