I have never tried Primark makeup before. I have watched many testing videos on Youtube, but I have never got round to trying it out myself. But when I saw these products in my local store the other day, I HAD to try them! I was attracted by the KKW Beauty vibes of the Primark PS Nudes Collection. I picked up the contour and highlight kit. This basically looks the same as Kim’s makeup line. There are double ended sticks and a brush that is an exact copy! The kit costs £8 which is a good deal for 2 sticks, a highlight crayon and a brush. I also picked up a lipgloss kit which looks right up my street! I can’t remember how much the kit costs but it is super affordable!
For Primark, I think the packaging of the Primark PS Nudes Collection looks super girly and pretty, but also quite classy. I love anything nude so I hoped this stuff was going to be good!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from these products. I don’t cream contour often, but I just had to see if these are any good. The sticks are double ended to be suitable for everyone. Both of the contour sticks are quite dark though. One side has a slight ashy tone, which is good. The sticks are super creamy, they are easy to use and don’t drag on the skin. They blend well with the brush the set comes with which I wasn’t expecting! The brush actually blends out the cream contour well, normally I’d use a sponge but I didn’t feel I needed one, when using the brush! I am impressed with the brush and will use it again! I hoped I’d love the brush, as everyone seems to like Kim’s brush too! I haven’t used the sponge, and I probably never will but the option is good! The highlighters are quite disappointing. One shade looks orange, so I obviously didn’t use that one. The champagne shade which will suit my skin tone looks super pretty, but it isn’t as pigmented. What impressed me though, about the cream highlighter is that the product did not move my foundation, which I was expecting as I can’t get on with any other cream highlight because of that reason!
As you can see by the swatches, they haven’t done too bad with the colours. I don’t think I’d use this without being fake tanned though because it would be way too dark on my pale skin. Also you can see, the shimmery highlighters look pretty, but they just are not as pigmented as they should be. Overall, I am happy with the contour sticks and would use them again. I probably won’t use the cream highlight sticks though.
I am so happy with the high shine lip gloss and lip liner kit. There are more colours to choose from, as well as a set with loads of shades including mattes and glosses. I’m annoyed that I have now chucked the packaging away so as well as not remembering the price I cannot remember the shade name! I think it begins with M, but in store, you’d be able to spot this shade straight away. The lip liner goes on smoothy and it is creamy which I love, as it doesn’t drag on your lips or feel drying. The colour isn’t the exact same as the lip gloss but you cannot tell when the gloss is applied over the top. I like the applicator of the lip gloss, it is on the smaller side but it coats my lips perfectly. The lipgloss looks stunning and the colour is a perfect brown nude. The gloss lasts quite long. However when reapplying throughout the day, I noticed that it was leaving a bit of a weird residue on my lip… The gloss isn’t too sticky which is amazing! Overall, I love this kit and will use it again!
Do you think these products are worth buying from my review? Will you be checking out the Primark PS Nudes Collection? I’d love to know your thoughts or if you have tried these products yourself! I want to get my hands on the Nudes eyeshadow palette. They also have nude tweezers and eyelash curlers in the range which is cool! Thanks for reading!
