L’Oreal Infallible Shaping Sticks Review

L’Oreal have released a new Infallible line called Shot it, Shape it, Strobe it #ShapeUp. They have brought out shaping sticks and primer shots in many forms. They have a pore-refiner, neutraliser, luminiser and matifying primers as well as foundation and strobing sticks. I have been trying out a few products. I chose the luminising primer, foundation stick in shade 180 and the gold strobing stick.

I picked up the luminizing base as I am getting into dewy skin. I am so over the matte life! The colour comes out a whitish colour and I thought it was going to be really pink toned, but once blended the primer looks pretty and glowy. If you are and love dewy skin you would probably like this. I am going to start using this more when the weather gets warmer.

I was super excited to try the L’Oreal Infallible foundation stick as I have actually never used a stick foundation before! I have the shade 160 Sand. The first thing I noticed about the formula is that it is super creamy! I went straight in with the stick onto my face, it went on so smoothly and easy. The foundation doesn’t pull on my skin at all! I blend in the foundation with a beauty blender which looks super natural! The first time I wore this my friend told me that I look natural… which is a first haha! I think this foundation is best for those with dry skin, as it makes your skin look glowy. The foundation gives a medium buildable coverage which I love. I wasn’t sure how this would last throughout the day as it is a dewy foundation, but set with my usual MAC studio fix powder it lasts all day. I love this foundation for a natural dewy look which also gives me good coverage.

All I can say about the L’Oreal Infallible highlight stick is… don’t waste your money on it. This looks lovely when swatched, but when blended it disappears as you can see in the picture! It looks awful when it sinks into pores (when I accidentally applied it too near my cheek). It also takes off foundation when applying it. It doesn’t look good with no makeup on as well because you still can’t see it! I expected great things from this stick but you can get better, cheaper ones from MUA. This will be going in the bin because it does NOTHING!

Overall, the only thing I really recommend is the foundation as I am going to repurchase as soon as I run out! Have you tried these products? What do you think of the new L’Oreal Infallible line? I have a review of the L’oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation review here, if you prefer a full coverage look.

I love stick foundations so I’ve been waiting to see a few reviews of this one! I use my Bobbi Brown stick a lot but I have dry skin and it does stick sometimes so I’ll definitely be looking into this one next time I’m in Boots! x

I love the sound of the foundation, it sounds like it’ll be right up my street! It’s a shame the highlighter doesn’t work as well xx
