Crownbrush kindly sent me some products to review, which I am so grateful for. I have heard of Crownbrush, but I have never tried any products so I was super excited to get the opportunity to. When I headed over to the website to pick out some products, I was surprised about how many different products they have. I wasn’t expecting as much makeup as they actually have! I of course had to try out some makeup products as well as some brushes.
I am going to start off with my favourite product which is the Cocoa Pro Lip Gloss. The lip product really suprised me and I can’t believe it is my favourite from my picks. I am obsessed with glossy lips so when I saw this online I liked the colour, but I thought it would be a basic gloss. When I first applied it, I was shocked how pigmented and opaque it is! You can totally wear this on it’s own. I apply the gloss over lip liner and I love it! I’m sure the gloss looks lovely over lipsticks, but when applied over lip liner, I don’t feel like I need a lipstick as I already have a pretty lip look.
I chose 3 brushes to try. I got the C531 contouring brush, which is perfect as it fits perfectly into the contour of the cheek. It doesn’t pick up a lot of product, which is a good for contour as you don’t want to be too heavy handed. The C330 Pro Blending brush is too dense than how I thought it would be, however it is good for packing on colour to darken up the crease. The brush is perfect for blending harsh lines precisely. Now, I’m a bit confused by the next blending brush. Online I thought it would be a fluffy blending brush, but it is a weird shape, and the top bit on the brush is pointed and flat. I don’t use it on the eyes, however I use it for brow highlight, as it is a perfect fit for the brow bone.
The 35 Colour Nude eyeshadow palette is my least favourite product. The colours look a bit dull, and the shimmery shades just look like the rest in the pan. I also don’t like how there are not that many glittery shades to create loads of looks, which I need with a massive palette like this one.
The shades are not that pigmented. When I use them on my eyes, the shades are so faint and blend into nothing. I think I have either picked the wrong palette or it isn’t for me. I probably won’t use this again. They are similar to the Morphe palettes which I also don’t like.
How gorgeous does the Bronze & Gloss palette look? I think this palette is stunning, and it’s my second favourite out of my picks for sure. The colours are too dark for my pale skin, however with a tan they look super pretty. They are super pigmented but built up they look blinding! I use the highlights with a dense brush to get a strong glow. The only thing I don’t like about the palette is the price. This palette costs £22.99, which is quite pricey, seeing as I’d only use 2 shades.
Overall, I am quite impressed with Crownbrush. I am defiently going to be purchasing more lip products. There are so many makeup products and brushes that I want to try! Thanks to the lovely Oli who got in touch with me, so I could try out this brand!
Do you love Crownbrush? What products do I need in my collection? Thanks for reading!
