A late Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had an amazing 2017 and have an even more amazing 2018. I thought I’d post my 2018 goals so I can look back on them and hope I’ve achieved everything! These are all my realistic goals that I hope to achieve. I wish there were exciting things on this list haha… but here are my 2018 goals!
I developed anxiety in 2017 and obviously it sucked. It has really affected me, because all of a sudden I was not able to easily do things that I used to. This year I am determined to improve my mental health. Even though it will be hard for me, I want to get an appointment with the doctor to find some coping methods that work for me, to do with anxiety around my epilepsy.
Go on holiday more than once
My anxiety massively gets worse at airports as you can imagine. I’d like to get over that. I would love to go on at least 2 holidays this year. I managed to go on 2 holidays last year so I want to make sure I go out of my comfort zone again. Holidays create amazing memories so I hope I can make more! I really want to travel more… however, I don’t have enough annual leave to go to all the places that are on my list haha!
I know this is your typical goal but I don’t want to go on a diet, I just want to have more of a balanced diet. My problem with food is always being hungry and snacking… or panic eating. I need to meal prep instead of going to Tesco everyday on my lunch at work and picking up bad stuff. I have just done a food shop online and it makes me sad as a weeks shopping is so expensive ergh lol.
Drink more water
I am actually good at drinking water. It’s the only thing I really drink day to day, except a Diet Coke with dinner which is a habit I need to get out of. But, I don’t have the daily amount of water so I just want to make sure I get the correct daily intake.
Socialise more and make friends
Due to my anxiety I have not been going out as much in 2017. I used to go out all the time and the thought of being in on the weekend would mean I’d be so bored. But now, I love being at home and it’s another habit I need to get out of. It’s easier said than done at the moment, but I have improved a lot in November/December so hopefully it carries on. I am going to try and make plans with friends as much as I can, and possibly make some new friends also!
Get braces and take better care of my teeth
At the end of the year, I was planning on getting Invisalign, but I changed my mind as it didn’t really fit in with my lifestyle. I panic eat A LOT so it meant I couldn’t just eat something quickly e.g. in the car as I’d have to go brush my teeth. I still want to get my teeth straight badly, so I am hopefully going to get clear braces this year. I got a electric toothbrush for Christmas so I really need to use it all the time. I had one before and couldn’t be bothered to charge it all the time which is stupid!
Take better pictures and improve my blog
I think my blogging pictures have improved so much over the course of the year. I am happy with them, but I still have a lot more improving to do. I want to get a camera to have better quality photos. I also need to learn how to edit my photos better. In 2018, I hope to stick to a blogging schedule and post more!
