High End Favourites 2017

High End Favourites 2017

Today’s post includes my high end favourites that I have used in 2017. Not all products were released in 2017, this is just the products I have used throughout and have loved. 2017 for me beauty wise, has been all about eyeshadow. I have never been into eyeshadow until the beginning of 2017 and now I’m obsessed and own too many palettes!

The best discovery for me this year is Benefit eyebrow products. In my opinion, they are the best eyebrow products, I don’t plan on changing up my routine any time soon. I can imagine these products always being in my high end favourites. The Goof Proof eyebrow pencil is literally amazing. It allows me to shape out my brow without any harsh lines. The pencil works well to fill in my brows too. I use the shade 02, and it gives me the perfect taupe shade brows, without looking grey. I then use the gel to set my brows in place. Once set, the brows do not move! A little goes a long way, but if too much gel is brushed through the brows it can start to look wet and gunky! I have a full review of Benefit eyebrow products here.

The Urban Decay Naked Heat eyeshadow palette has been everyone’s favourite in 2017. I love Urban Decay’s shadows, so when this was released with shades that are on trend, I knew I had to get it. Of course, the shadows blend well and are super pigmented. This is my go to palette when I’m after warm shades.

I have enjoyed using the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in 2017. It looks natural under my eyes and gives me good coverage.   I apply this with the applicator and it picks up enough products and doesn’t drag under my eyes. I find the concealer blends better with a beauty blender rather than a brush.

I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance palette a lot at the beginning of 2017. Of course I followed the hype on this product, I just had to try it! This palette made me explore colours as I’d never used the type of shades this palette has before. I feel this palette is very unique as it is a must have in any makeup collection. The packaging is of course gorgeous. I love palettes that shut magnetically rather than plastic packaging.

The MAC Studio Fix Foundation Powder Plus in NC30 and the Mineralise Skin Finish powder in light have been my go to setting powders in 2017. My makeup looks flawless and lasts all day thanks to these products. I use the skin finish powder under my eyes as  the light shade sets and still makes my under eyes look bright. The powder foundation just adds a bit more coverage, and of course has colour to it, but I love that when setting my foundation. I use it with a stippling brush as it applies it sparingly as it could get a bit too much very quickly. I really recommend these products if you want your makeup to last all day.

I found the Tarte Maneater eyeshadow palette in spring and have been using it ever since. I have taken it away with me on both my holidays in 2017 as it is compact and has shades for day/night. The palette also has a perfect sized mirror. The shadows blend out so well, and the pigmentation is amazing. I love the shimmer shades and they look beautiful on the lids. If you would like to try Tarte makeup and you are outside of the US, you can order some products here.

So these are my high end favourites that I’ve used in 2017. What products have you found in 2017 that you have been obsessed with? I’d love to know! Thanks for reading.
