I kindly received a VoxBox for free from Influenster full of some Rimmel goodies to try. Rimmel have brought out a new foundation and concealer which are supposed to be ‘breathable’. Along with the foundation and concealer, I also received a contour palette as well as a lipstick! I have tried these out so continue reading for my honest thoughts!
I have the shade 200 Soft Beige. I chose this shade to match my tan when I have a slight bit of colour from a gradual lotion. I could do with it being a tad bit darker however, this shade has the perfect under tones that I go for in foundation. It’s not too pink and it’s not too yellow.
I think you’d be disappointed if you was expecting a medium coverage foundation. I could still see all my spots and all of my redness. I have better medium coverage foundations than this, but that is just me. It looks natural on the skin and I was able to apply this twice without any nasty cakey business! The foundation is scented so if you are not a fan of that then stay away! But if you don’t mind products with a scent, it is like all the other Rimmel foundations. I will continue to wear this when I want something light as I do agree that it is ‘breathable’. Other Rimmel foundations tend to be quite heavy in my opinion.
I applied the foundation with the applicator it came with. I actually like the way I applied this. Usually, I use pumps of foundation on my hands then blend it in with my fingers but this way is less messier. Though, I think others will care about it not being very hygienic- which doesn’t bother me to be honest… sorry. I used a brush to blend in the foundation and it was very quick to do. Overall, this is a good drugstore foundation for those who like sheer foundations that can be buildable.
I’m just going to be honest here. I do not like this concealer and I’m not going to get any use out of it. I got the shade 200 to match the foundation to try. I always use a lighter concealer under my eyes and in the areas I like to highlight, but I tried this under my eyes anyway and there was NO coverage at all. It didn’t look like there was anything there. I do like the packaging and the sponge at the end. I had high expectations from my swatches, the concealer does look a little different to the foundations though.

When this contour palette came out I liked the look of it but never picked it up. I got the ‘002 Coral Glow’ one to test. As you can tell from my swatches it is not very pigmented. However, when I applied the powders on my face they looked nice! The contour is a nice shade and I look contoured when I applied it on my cheeks, forehead and nose. I like a subtle contour however I did build the contour up and it still looked nice! I didn’t look muddy which is a good sign. The highlight is pigmented when I applied it. I mean it’s not as strong as my fave The Balm highlighter but it is still a strong highlight which can be built up. I like the shade of the highlight. I don’t have much to say about the blusher as I already have red cheeks all the time but the shade is nice!
I have the Moisture Renew lipstick in the shade Vintage Pink and I love love love it! I’m a bit confused on the name though. It’s definitely a purple nude to me… I love the finish of the lipstick, I’m so over mattes at the moment. It’s opaque and it’s my kind of A/W shade. It’s a dupe for my MAC lipstick ‘Up The Amp’ which was my first ever MAC lipstick. I am going to pick up more shades of this lipstick. It feels so comfortable on my lips.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
